For the past few months it has been and remains to be a goal of mine to read the Bible and the New Testament. My reasoning for doing this is to improve my relationship with Jesus and increase my biblical knowledge. My hope is that it will do the same for you.
Today I read starting in Romans chapter 15 and verse 1 and read through to 1 Corinthians chapter 2. Following is a list of scriptures I think are important for whoever is seeking answers to some of today’s issues.
- Romans 15 v.2, 8-9 (2) We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. (8) Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors. (9) He also came that the Gentiles might give glory to God for his mercies to them.
- Romans 16 v.17-18, 20 (17) Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. (18) Such people are not serving Christ our Lord, they are serving their own personal interests. (20) The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
- 1 Corinthians 1 v.2, 8-9, 18-19, 24, 27, 30 (2) He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours. (8) He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. (9) God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (18) The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. (19) As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.” (24) Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. (27) God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise, and he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. (30) God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore as the scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.
- 1 Cornithians 2 v.9-10, 12 (9) “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (10) By his Spirit God has revealed these things to us. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us Gods’s deep secrets. (12) We have received God’s spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
Please leave your comments below as I like getting to know your thoughts and to see if this helps anyone. Also, if you have anything you would like for to write about I would like to hear that as well.
In addition to content writing I also want to delve into writing poetry. The following is a poem I comprised for my wife on her birthday August 29 2019. I hope you enjoy and please leave your comments below as they give me insight as to what areas I am good in as well as what I am not. Thank You!
Love everlasting, beauty amazing
An angel sent from Heaven above.
Time is priceless, memories are amazing
A life spent with you , I get for asking.
Moments with you I enjoy the most
Kissing your lips,
Holding you nightly.
Where you go
I like to be also
Otherwise I'm lost without you.
I will love you forever,
Girl you know it's true.
Eternally our lives together
Just "me and you".
I LOVE YOU!!!!
Has there ever been a time in your life where you have said “I could never do that”? For instance, when faced with figuring out a somewhat complex mathematical equation or tackling a DIY project at your home. You do this because it looks intimidating or that you haven’t done it before and you think it’s to late for you to learn or you just don’t have the knack for it so you just don’t try.
Well, I am here to tell you that you can do anything you set your mind to and all it requires is your effort. Whatever amount of effort you put into doing that math equation or DIY project that is going to determine the result. Minimal effort produces minimal results whereas maximum effort produces maximum results.
Now that you have completed that seemingly impossible task which may have required you putting in extra effort you just proved to yourself that you can do most things that you thought you couldn’t. This transformation has set you up to go into the next task with confidence. If you put in the same amount of exceeding effort on every task just as the results were exceeding on one task so they will be on others.
In short, we all have different levels of skills and abilities but that doesn’t mean that we can’t perform something that someone else does. Just because someone else does something quickly doesn’t make them a genius. Odds are you can do that to you will just have to put in more effort. Stop being hard on yourself if you don’t get the results you had hoped for go back and question yourself and check the level of effort you put in. Remember, minimal effort produces minimal results and exceeding effort produces exceeding results.
I hope this helps someone. I would love to hear from you so please leave comments in the section below.
